Staff and Agency System in Football Agent
Hiring, skills, headquarters, and long-term agency growth
This page documents the staff and agency management systems in Football Agent as observed through community gameplay.
Staff categories
Scouts
The most important early-game staff. Scouts are assigned to leagues and return with player reports. Key properties:
- Skill level — affects accuracy of reports. Improves with experience and training investment.
- Specialty — some scouts are better at evaluating attacking players, others at defenders, goalkeepers, or youth talent.
- Cost — weekly salary. Elite scouts cost significantly more than novices.
- Availability — a scout can only run one mission at a time.
Recommended early-game: hire two scouts with different specialties. Do not hire a third until your income is stable.
Data Analysts
Analysts improve the quality of scouting reports without requiring longer missions. Key properties:
- Accuracy bonus — adds to report accuracy regardless of scout quality or mission duration.
- Speed bonus — slightly reduces the time needed for missions when analysts are assigned.
- Cost — moderate weekly salary. High value for money.
Recommended: hire at least one analyst as early as possible. They provide consistent value with minimal ongoing cost.
Lawyers
Lawyers improve your position in complex contract negotiations:
- Contract risk reduction — reduces the chance of contract disputes after signing.
- Negotiation bonus — provides a small advantage in multi-party negotiations.
- Cost — moderate to high weekly salary.
Lawyers become more important as your client roster grows and contract complexity increases.
PR Managers
PR staff manage press relationships for you and your clients:
- Negative press reduction — lowers probability of negative stories during negotiations.
- Positive press increase — raises probability of reputation-building positive stories.
- Crisis management — reduces the damage of major negative events (scandals, failed deals, etc.).
Recommended: hire one PR manager before taking on high-profile clients.
Physios
Physios improve the medical care your clients receive:
- Injury frequency reduction — clients with good club medical support get injured less often.
- Recovery speed bonus — injured clients recover faster.
- Cost — moderate weekly salary.
Most valuable for agencies with clients in physically demanding positions (defenders, wingers, forwards).
Headquarters progression
Stage 1: Home Office
Starting location. Cost: none. Benefits: minimal. You can run a basic agency from here but staff slots are limited.
Stage 2: Small Agency
First physical office. Cost: moderate upfront investment. Benefits: +2 additional staff slots.
Stage 3: Regional Office
A presence in another country. Cost: significant investment. Benefits: automatic scouting access to that region + additional staff slot.
Stage 4: International HQ
Major office in a football capital city. Cost: very high. Benefits: global bonuses to reputation growth, +1 scout effectiveness, additional staff slots.
Stage 5: Global Agency
Final stage. Cost: maximum. Benefits: all previous benefits plus the highest possible reputation ceiling.
Investment timing guidelines
Based on community experience:
- Do not upgrade headquarters until you have 12 weeks of operating costs in reserve after the upgrade.
- Do not hire elite scouts until your average weekly commission covers their salary with room to spare.
- Prioritise analysts over PR and physios in the early game.
Community notes
Early Access Day-1 players reported that the home office stage felt restrictive for too long, and many upgraded prematurely and suffered cash flow problems as a result. The community consensus is to stay at home office as long as possible while building cash reserves.
Frequently Asked Questions
