Football Agent Commission Calculator

Estimate earnings from signings, transfers, and sell-on clauses

Last updated:

This calculator helps you estimate your commission income from Football Agent transactions. Enter the values from your game to see projected earnings.

How to use

Use the in-game values for each field:

  • Transfer or contract fee — the total value of the deal as shown in the negotiation summary.
  • Your commission rate — the percentage you negotiated as your take from the deal.
  • Sell-on clause percentage — if you negotiated a sell-on clause, enter the percentage.
  • Future sale estimate — if you are estimating income from a future transfer of the same player, enter the estimated future transfer fee.

Commission types

Signing commission

When a client is placed with a club, you receive a signing fee based on the contract value and your negotiated commission rate.

Signing commission = Contract value x Commission rate

Transfer commission

When a client is sold, you receive commission based on the transfer fee and your negotiated rate.

Transfer commission = Transfer fee x Commission rate

Sell-on clause

A sell-on clause pays you a percentage of any future transfer of the client by the buying club.

Sell-on payment = Future transfer fee x Sell-on percentage

Important notes

  • Commission rates are negotiable in-game. The calculator assumes a standard 10–15% range.
  • Some contracts include performance bonuses that are triggered separately.
  • Sell-on clauses apply only when the player is sold again, not on every contract renewal.
FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

What commission rate should I negotiate for?

Industry average in-game is 10–15%. Going above 20% makes you uncompetitive. You can compensate with sell-on clauses and performance bonuses.

Do sell-on clauses apply to contract renewals?

No. Sell-on clauses apply only when the player is transferred to another club. Contract renewals with the same club do not trigger sell-on payments.
